Article response

I chose the article “The 2017 Grammys Have No Answers” and basically what Amanda Petrusich is doing is giving a brief summary of a couple of artists and how their night went at the 2017 Grammys. For example, Adele’s night came in great success as she was nominated for five and winning all five but later snapped one of her awards in half. Honestly, I was just going to choose the first article the came to my eye but when I saw The 2017 Grammys Have No Answers article I just automatically chose this one because my mom and my grandmother watch this show. This article showed me that there can be a lot of drama at one of these shows and I feel as if that would amuse me while watching it so I might just watch the next one trying to keep up with the drama beforehand. It may have also failed with my connection to it just because I like rap/hip hop music the most and I didn’t really read much about any of the other rap artists. I gained quite a bit from this article that I did not know about certain artists. For example, I did not know that Chance The Rapper had no label. I was not aware at all that he was an independent artist until I read this article. I also didn’t know anything about Sturgill Simpson until this article where I read that he was self-funded/self releasing his art and also a shocking contended for “Album of the Year”. I feel as if Amanda Petrusich was dead on with this article. I know I didn’t watch The 2017 Grammys but with her article I feel as if it filled in most of the blanks I had with the Grammys because I saw most of it on social media.
